As announced by the Chief of Naval Operations, the U. S. Navy has selected a new Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy ( MCPON). Master Chief Petty Officer James Honea, the Navy’s and SNA’s Old Tar, will become the 16th MCPON.
At SNA’s 34th National Symposium this past January, Master Chief Honea was formally recognized as the Old Tar. A video of the recognition ceremony can be viewed at: https://youtu.be/DoFFmMCV7ow
